These days, the tire industry is updating its products in line with global standards, therefore, it is trying to prepare the ground for testing these standards inside the country with updated products, in order to prevent foreign exchange from going out and generate income from this place.
Khodrocar - One of the most important topics in the tire industry is structure and design, manufacturing technology achieving new standards, including the SWR standard, and finally achieving Emark. Among the benefits of receiving the Emark certificate, we can mention the facilitation of tire exports, increasing the credit in the world's tire industry, especially in the Middle East, preventing the outflow of foreign currency to obtain the Emark certificate and acquiring new markets. 

At present, the activists in this industry believe that the factory standard of Iranian tires is three times higher than the national standards, and the presence in the European markets proves this. According to them, there is currently a production capacity with European standards in Iranian factories, and setting up a new test center that includes new tire standards, can lead to the improvement of product quality in addition to generating income.

"Tire is among the products subject to mandatory standards because it deals with the life and health of people, so this product must be equipped with a safety standard seal and be produced according to international standards so that its safety is approved.” Iskandar Sotudeh, chief of the tire industries value chain association told Khodrocar reporter. 

"The production of Iranian tires is a combination of European and American standards, and in such a situation, one of the best tests is the tire test standard, which will soon be launched in Iran.” He added. 

"Based on this, in addition to the previous standards, manufactured tires must be equipped with three standards, tire sound, tire adhesion (gasoline consumption according to tire consumption) and rolling resistance (tire complete stop time in the rain after braking) under the title of SWR because These three factors are associated with environmental pollution and can affect humans and the environment.” He continued. 

He continues: In the new standards, manufactured tires must comply with these three factors because Europe has added these three factors to the environmental standards with the aim of increasing safety. Therefore, Iranian-manufactured tires must also be equipped with this standard to produce to be able to export. At the moment, Iranian tires are exported to Eastern European countries in addition to the countries of the region.

Sotoudeh further informs about the operation of the SWR test center in Yazd within the next few months and states: with the aim of setting up this center, devices have been purchased that will test these three factors in production tires, It will be a great help to the automobile industry, tire manufacturers and tire importers, while tire manufacturers of neighboring countries can also test their manufactured tires in this center.

He reminds: With the opening of this center, the manufactured tires can be tested within 24 hours after production in a short time and without being sent to Europe, which requires 5 months, which will ultimately lead to the improvement of car quality.
