Situation of carmakers, vehicle imports, global and domestic decisions for auto parts and automotive industry is worrying and many questions comes to the mind about the future of this industry. Is Iran anyway near the automotive industry Outlook of 1404?
khodrocar – Years 2015 and 2016 were like golden years for Iran’s automotive industry. Vehicle import was in its best situation and there were negotiation for vehicle investments in order to make productions lines or vehicle imports. But 2017 and 2018 was a nightmare.
Some experts believe that Iran have experiences the worst of sanctions before and it is able to deal with the new round, which include limitations for automakers and other industries. On the other hand, some believe that it takes time to reduce the inflammation of the market.
Which companies will be damaged since the beginning of stability in production, prices and supply?
Considering those situations, there is one important question: What is the fate of automotive industry if US continues its sanctions, Europe, and East Asia reduce their relationship with Iran?
Asghar Khosroshahi, Vehicle Consultant of The Minister of Industry, Trade and Mine tells Khodrocar regarding the following issues: "Everybody know that vehicle industry is in a very bad situation, but with accurate planning and policies, we can get acceptable results from this industry next year.”
He believes that good planning and changes in the current policies is the key to change the situation, become self-sufficient and reduce external dependence.
Khosroshahi explains: "By cooperation of two industries, automotive and auto parts, market liquidity will be reduced. These two industries are strong enough to deal will the problems. We experienced similar problems earlier, and we made it through, however the important thing to remember is that we faced production reduce.”
Is there any limitations or problems for reaching the 1404 Outlook? He answered: "Currently no. With more efforts, we can reach the outlook.”
