The president had emphasized on clarification in industry and economic growth in his recent speech but some experts believe that the automotive industry has affected by unclear decisions.
Khodrocar – Hasan Rouhani, president of Iran, recently talked about the clarification in contracts and decision in the industry. He believes the government should be completely transparent about the decisions, tenders and auctions. Meanwhile, experts think during the past 4 years, industry and especially the automotive industry affected by unclear decisions.
According to experts, shutting down the registration website is a good example of unclear decisions. Now there is a question, what is the effect of transparency on economic growth?
"The lack of transparency in governmental and economic decisions will make investors to keep out from Iran and that will postpone the economic growth.” Farbod Zaveh said to Khodrocar reporter.
"Investing is the first and the most important thing to develop the employment. Investment is risky and do you think it is possible to invest in an unstable economic condition? In these situations, investors are attracted to low risk investments.” He added.
"Daily changes in policies and laws will scare the investors and they think Iran is not a safe place to have long term investment.” He continued. "The result of this decision will be clear in the next few years, during different conditions. Right now, the Tehran motor show is a display of past year’s wrong decisions. Now the exhibition is a parking for Beijing products because of unclear decisions.”
He also talked about transparency in the automotive industry during the recent years and said: ”clarification about the decisions which are related to people is important. I think that in the past 4 years, the ministry of industry, mine and trade didn’t have transparency.”
"Policies of the ministry in the automotive industry were not transparent during the past years. Lack of transparency about the registration website made some problems for importers in the first couple months, so that even the minister of industry, mine and trade denied the limitations of registration website.” He said. "Why the businessman didn’t know about the closing of registration website?”
