Meanwhile, in the budget bill of 1400, the government revenue from the decommissioning of worn-out cars is predicted to be 50 billion Tomans, and it seems that with the lifting of the ban on car imports next year, we will see a better situation in the field of scrapping cars.
Khodrocar - The amount of budget projected for demolition next year, while the budget of these centers this year was 20 billion tomans, which according to activists in this field, not only the fate of this number but also the budget of previous years is not clear.

This year, however, due to the ban on car imports and the lack of cooperation of car manufacturers in scrapping in exchange for car production, these centers have been practically closed and are on the verge of bankruptcy.

Now, with the submission of the 1400 budget bill to the parliament, it became clear that the budget of scrap centers has doubled, which, in addition to lifting the ban on car imports, could mark better days for scrap centers.

"Forecasting revenue from car imports, as well as increasing the scrapping budget, this clause in next year's budget bill shows that the government is seeking to liberalize imports next year and has considered revenue from this place.” Mostafa Jodi, member of worn-out and recycling association told khodrocar reporter.

"It is natural that the liberalization of imports will lead to a boom in scrapping centers, and the provision in this section of next year's budget bill shows that the government is seeking to reconsider the import ban, which would indicate a better year for scrapping centers.” He added.

"It is not yet clear where the fate of previous years' budgets have come from: Scrapping centers have failed to receive funding in recent years, and the only scrapping certificate issued for this year has been spent on motorcycle numbering.” Says Jodi.

"This year, the government had a resolution according to which the center should pay 55,000 tomans for the scrapping of each car, which is a non-expert decision. Any income or tax that the government envisages should be on the income of the centers.” He said.

"If the government takes steps to facilitate and help renovate the dilapidated fleet, this decision is not right, but the grounds for increasing scrapping and creating a place of consumption for the use of scrapping certificates must be provided, otherwise the financial burden will be imposed on scrapping centers.” He said.

"This problem will not be solved until the government accepts that, like other countries, the domestic carmaker must commit to and play a role in the removal of used cars.” He continued.
