Mitsubishi is set to unveil an all-electric e-Evolution model in 2017.
Khodrocar - Mitsubishi, the maker of the world-renowned Evo models, are a step closer reviving the legendary name later this year will an all-new, all-electric SUV coupe. As such, the new e-Evolution will be closer to the Mitsubishi ASX or Outlander PHEV than the giant killing saloons, and will showcase where the company plans to go in the future.

This Japanese manufacturer’s new SUV, will use the marque’s 4WD electric drivetrain and feature a ‘low-slung’ profile, as shown in a teaser of the e-Evolution released by Mitsubishi. Revealing enough sharp edges and ‘aerodynamic’ features to rival the Toyota C-HR, it suggests there is a new design language on the cards for the brand.

With Mitsubishi now part of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, which is targeting aggressive EV expansion, it is no surprise that the e-Evolution is set to be electric and it will be interesting to see how much technology is shared between the Alliance’s other vehicles such as the new Nissan Leaf.

However, there has been no information as to prices, specs, and if/when the new Evo will come to the UK, but further details have been promised for the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show in October.
