Experts in the automotive industry believe that handing over the determination of low-priced prices to automakers, despite the maximum presence of the Competition Council in determining high-pricing prices, can be effective and reduce the losses of automakers to some extent by increasing the production of these vehicles.

Soheil Memarbashi, Director General of Transportation Industries of the Ministry of Industry, in his latest remarks, emphasizing the presence of the Competition Council in the pricing of overproductions, stated that the Ministry of Industry does not seek to liberalize car prices, but based on the production jump package, the prices of some cars are low. Circulation will be provided to the board of directors of car manufacturers according to the rules of the price determination and stabilization board of the protection organization, and in the case of over-circulation cars, there will still be pricing so that the members of the society will not be affected by the price increase.

Meanwhile, the removal of the Competition Council from pricing based on the car reorganization plan and the discovery of car prices in the stock market was considered as one of the options for determining car prices, which Ezatullah Akbari, head of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, rejected. According to the amendment of Article 4 of the plan for organizing the automobile industry, restored by the Guardian Council, domestically produced cars will be offered on the stock exchange. But no final decision has yet been made on removing the Competition Council.

Now, in this situation, the question arises that what will be the benefit of handing over the determination of the low price of the circulations to the automakers?

According to automotive industry experts, an assessment of the car market shows that the demand for cars at current prices is about one million cars a year.

A review of automakers' statistics shows that about 900,000 cars have been produced to date, and that the amount of cars needed by the market has already been met.

With this trend, it is predicted that most of the automakers' products in 1999 will meet the main existing demand. At least 100 million Tomans for Iran Khodro cars with a market and 40 to 50 million Tomans for Saipa cars.

Therefore, by focusing on the production of high-volume cars, this price difference has decreased and reaches 30 million Tomans in Saipa cars and about 80 to 100 million Tomans in Iran Khodro products.

The officials of the Ministry of Industry expect that next year we will see the problems of this year as well, which will prevent the supply and demand from coming closer to each other and the demand from being balanced. It must happen so that we can see the reduction of the factory and market price difference as soon as possible.

According to them, the role of the Competition Council is to accelerate this process, and if this process does not enter, supply and demand will have a negative effect on each other.

Since the production of cars whose pricing has been left to carmakers is not very high, it raises the question of what positive outcome this decision will have, but the officials of the Ministry of Industry have a different opinion and believe that the number of low-circulation cars will increase next year.

Gradually, without reducing the current circulation of high-volume cars, with the increase in production of automakers, which will be 200,000 more than this year, demand will be better managed and demand will exceed supply, while production will increase. Low-volume cars priced by the automaker will be large enough to offset the automaker's profit for the loss it incurs.

According to them, car manufacturers are looking to meet the needs of the market in terms of product variety, technology and options, so that now that it is not possible to import, cars with modern world standards are offered to the market, including cars that are priced It will be done by the automaker.
