At a time when the automotive industry is more lonely than ever due to the re-sanctions of foreign partners, there are reports that the Chinese continue to cooperate with the private sector of the Iranian automotive industry, and in this context raises the question that this How is it possible for the private sector, but the public sector is still plagued by the negligence of its Chinese partners?
Khodrocar - Incomplete cars due to lack of parts and overdue commitments of state-owned automakers due to the termination of cooperation of the Chinese partner in the last two years have caused a lot of trouble for the two major automakers.

It seems that since the private sector has recently been able to circumvent sanctions and continue its activities by relying on solutions, Chinese companies are more willing to cooperate with this group of companies, an issue that experts the automotive industry also acknowledges this.

"In government structures, due to the bureaucracy, the devices, activities and obtaining the necessary licenses are long, and at the same time, banks are reluctant to cooperate with state-owned companies, but in private structures, due to their agility, it is easy to find escape routes. It can be found by boycotting and circumventing it.” He said.

"Currently, even private companies operating in the automotive industry are facing the problem of allocating currency from the Nima system and also its transfer, and perhaps the main reason for the unwillingness to cooperate with the public sector is that these activities are delayed in the current situation. It is possible that even state-owned car companies such as Iran Khodro and Saipa are in the queue for foreign exchange allocation in order to supply a number of production and consumer parts.” He added.

"The private sector is able to carry out activities such as circumventing sanctions, such as through a number of intermediary companies in Oman and the UAE, through which they can easily supply the products they need.” He said.

"Chinese companies prefer to work with companies that are intermediaries instead of cooperating with Iranian state-owned companies and banks, but in general the biggest difference between the measures taken in the automotive industry is due to the structure of the government and the private sector.” He continued.

Certainly, the management of the automotive industry is different under normal circumstances and under sanctions, and in the current situation where the automotive industry sees the wall of sanctions in front of it, management must have a different view on production and quality to reduce the effect of sanctions in this area. This is an issue that experts emphasize and believe that Iran needs new management perspectives more than ever, and today it is not possible to look at the automotive industry with the same strategy of the normal period and the absence of sanctions. In this way, it is necessary to get through the sanctions cycle with the help of a different perspective from the normal situation.
