Khodrocar - At a time when the spare parts market is facing the challenge of parts shortage these days, domestic manufacturers have recently taken steps to meet domestic demand along with localization projects, although the production of parts required by the market these days is mostly done by manufacturers. Which are present in the spare parts market and provide the product to consumers without intermediaries. In this situation, it seems that along with the localization of the parts industry, we will soon see the market self-sufficiency of imports in products that have a similar example inside.
"About 20% of the members of this union are parts manufacturers, this amount of producers produce and distribute in the market and sell their products directly and some of these products with low profit.” Seyed Mahdi Kazemi, speaker of spare parts union told khodrocar reporter.
"About 90% of the needs of old car parts, including Pride and Peugeot, and about 40% of up-to-date cars are met through domestic production. Recently, manufacturers have moved to the production of Chinese and Korean car parts because Parts are needed over time, and since imports are limited, domestic manufacturers are looking to produce these parts.” He said.
"With this trend, it is predicted that Chinese car parts will be fully produced in Iran in the next 4 years. The choice is given priority and then the choice is with the main part of the country of production, but the free import market is less welcomed.” He added.
"Among these parts, the price of imported parts is somewhat cheaper than other parts and at the same time has a lower quality. The company's parts also include parts that have been imported to Iran by car manufacturing companies and under its own brand, to supply it, which are of high quality. Finally, the main parts that are supplied and imported through importers from official car importing companies.” He said.
"Currently, the products of strong domestic manufacturers are available to large companies, and the rest of the manufacturers sell their products in the market, but still these parts are of high quality compared to similar samples because of competition in this area is very high.” He said.
"Undoubtedly, the price of Iranian parts is about 30% cheaper than similar foreign parts, which is not much different from imported parts that are of lower quality, but if a large amount of imports are made from that part, the price of this category will definitely increase. It is one of the lower parts of domestic production, but in the end, it is recommended that consumers meet their needs either through companies or look for the main part.” He continued.
