While there are rumors of defective cars being produced on automakers' production lines, parts industry activists believe that due to corona problems as well as a lack of liquidity, the possibility of defective cars being produced will continue for the next 4 to 5 months.
Khodrocar - The problem is the reduction or shortage of parts in the automotive industry, as well as the spare parts market, while market participants have previously warned of the possibility of a reduction in parts and called for the release of parts imports. Now, in the latest incident, it is stated that the number of defective vehicles in the production lines of automakers is also increasing, and it continues due to the realization of production planning and also the fulfillment of overdue obligations.

Since 1397, as well as last year, with the imposition of sanctions and the definitive withdrawal of foreign partners in the automotive industry from Iran, the production of defective vehicles has intensified, and this problem has not only persisted in the automotive industry but also concerns about parts shortages in repair shops and markets.

"In the next one or two months, we will face a shortage due to declining imports as well as declining production of parts and spare parts, which is why we are urging the government to immediately allow imports to traders and importers of parts.” Mehdi Kazemi, speaker of spare part producers association told khodrocar reporter.

"Since most of the parts of these cars are localized and available in the country, only a small number of parts must be imported into the country, which will be provided immediately after the lifting of flight restrictions.” He added.

"The parts that are currently in trouble are the same routine parts that were previously produced and delivered according to the automaker's delivery schedule, but have been suspended for two reasons this year.” Ahmad Reza Ranaei, member of the board of part makers association told khorocar reporter.

"Corona made it difficult to produce some of the parts and did not produce them on time because many of them originated in China, which delayed shipping and delivery, so the transfers were delayed and continued. The problem is that the top line of parts manufacturers has been emptied for production again.” He added.

"The second reason for the shortage of parts was due to the uncertainty of the condition of some parts manufacturers until the end of April, because it was not clear whether the operation of these units would begin or not, but their production has returned to normal.” He said.

"Some parts are being ordered and others are being imported, but what was clear was that the situation was predictable and warnings were being issued, as the problem was caused by the automakers 'failure to pay the parts manufacturers' claims, all of which Together, the agents made it impossible for the parts manufacturers to receive their demands on Eid night, so the ordering of the parts was postponed.” He said.

Ranaei reminds that due to high production costs, as well as a 37% increase in wages compared to last year and an increase in the price of currency, the parts manufacturer must produce and supply to the automaker at the price it buys. Due to grammatical pricing and non-increase in car prices, the automaker expects the parts manufacturer to start production at the previous price, all of which together with the debts of 30,000 billion tomans of automakers, production has been postponed and challenged.
