Against clear instructions for clearing cars, importers can’t clear their cars from customs but according to the announcement, only less than 2 percent of imported vehicles were let out after 9 months, which, according to the secretary of the car importers association, did not know which company was.
Khodrocar – While we are reaching the final days of the year, importers can’t clear their cars from customs but according to the announcement, only less than 2 percent of imported vehicles were let out after 9 months, which, according to the secretary of the car importers association, did not know which company was.

Mehdi Mir Ashrafi, manager of Iran’s customs said that till last week near 200 cars were cleared which is a little and he also said that this cars will be called abandon if the procedure of clearing takes too long.

According to current statistics, from 13 thousand cars in customs 6481 of them don’t have order registration and about 1900 of them have been cleared. So 4500 cars will remain in the customs which 3722 of them are suspected for smuggling.

The rest have fake order registration and Iran’s customs has an instruction that says cars with fake order registration will be called smuggled good.

"As I know these 200 cars are not from the companies which are members of importers association. Till now no company has been able to clear a car and I recommend that please tell the name of those importers who cleared these 200 cars.” Mehdi Dadfar, secretary of vehicle importers association.

"We like to know which of our member has cleared their cars from customs. We think that these clearance is not related to government’s approval. Right now, nothing has happened in the market of imported car. When lots of cars enter the market then we will be able to see some difference in it because people will realize they can receive their cars.” He added.

According to the new instruction of ministry of industry to all regional industry, mine and trade organizations, those stocked cars which have warehouse receipt of before 6 January can clear their cars.

According to the directive, cars stopped at customs are divided into two categories of cars imported with foreign currency exchange and opening LC, and cars that have entered without a currency transfer.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry, first-class vehicles will have clearance if they have received the warehouse receipt of before 6 January

But second group are those cars which don’t have any currency transfer then they can clear their goods if their warehouse receipt is before 6 Jun

It should wait and see that these successive amendments, which have not led to the major release of imported carriers to date, will be effective and companies will be able to clear their vehicles and comply with their obligations.
