"Since the first day of executing "National Plate” plan in beginning of 80s more than 10 million motorcycles has been plated but not even one of them scrapped yet.” Bahman Zia, secretary of motorcycle association told khodrocar.
"About 7 to 8 years ago 2 governmental companies started their plans to scrape 100 thousand units but this plan never finished but 100 thousand is nothing against 10 million. If a plan scrape 1 million units a year then it will take 10 years to scrap all worn-out motorcycles. With a little calculation we can find out that more than 90 percent of motorcycles in streets are worn-out.” He added.
"Pollution is not only from the motorcycle and news are not true about it but law says that for producing each motorcycle they have to scrap an old one. It only lasts a few months after the announcement of this rule and it has not yet come into force that motorcycle makers have proposed deleting Article 11 of this Code of Conduct.” He said.
He also regretted that the Ministry of Industry and Motorcycles seeking to remove the material related to the "wear of worn motorcycles in the production of new gasoline motorcycles" also stated that our suggestion is that with each tab, instead of seven motorcycles, four Motorcycles buy and dispose of as a result of this action, the value of excrement sheets goes up, and for the owners of worn out engines, they are also motivated to take action on their motorcycle rush.
Kalantari also said the government is working on this law and we hope that they won’t remove it.
