Khodrocar - If you are too impatient to wait for the upcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup, then check out this beast that's currently for sale in Atlanta. It even features an extra pair of wheels for a look that apes the Mercedes-AMG G63 6x6. The result is a giant, custom rig for hauling a group of off-road adventurers and every bit of their equipment. The asking price for this massive truck is $269,800.
Former Atlanta Braves baseball player Andruw Jones commissioned this giant Jeep using a 2012 Wrangler Unlimited as the starting point. Under the hood, the original 3.6-liter V6 is gone, and in its place, there's a 6.4-liter Hemi V8. The engine now hooks up to a six-speed automatic, rather than the original five-speed gearbox. Heavy-duty axles let the machine handle the extra power, and there's a 4.5-inch suspension lift that lets this Wrangler tower over other traffic.
There's no missing that this Jeep is something special from the outside. In addition to the massive bed, there are custom parts for the hood and fenders. Lots of LEDs illuminate the road ahead, including the headlights and multiple light bars. There are even more of them in the cargo bed. Power-operated steps make climbing into the tall vehicle a little easier. As an Atlanta Brave, Jones wore number 25 on his jersey, and the builder incorporated it into the front and rear bumper. Folks in the back get their own entertainment screens. Wood panels adorn the bed, and a tonneau cover hides cargo.
The interior takes the baseball theme even further. Exposed stitching on the seats make them look like a glove, and the pattern on the steering wheel is like a ball. An Alpine 10-inch infotainment system has a spot at the top of the center stack, and 14 Focal speakers make beautiful music. For an easier time seeing what's happening behind this giant machine, there's a camera in the rearview mirror.
