Recently, there are whispers about the presence of Indian companies in auto industry but do they be able to improve and bring verity to our market like Chinese? Does their presence help Iran’s auto industry?
Khodrocar – Presence of Indian companies heated after Mahindra revealed some products in the last Tehran auto show. The products didn’t even have the signs of improvement like Chinese cars. The question is could the presence of Indians be a step toward improvement or not?

Indian starts the auto making in far years by assembling American military vehicle like Jeep and Dodge. That is same as other countries like Japan, South Korea and China. The rest was like Chinese companies, they tried to buy half broken companies and TATA motors now own Jaguar- Land rover through this procedure.  

India’s auto industry now doesn’t has a sign of improvement even compare to Chinese their products have lower quality. Their high quality and expensive products are European and produce under the hard supervision of European engineers. These products are specially made for foreign markets.

Logically, due to good political and economic relations between Iran and China, referring to a country like India which has a low quality auto industry is not right.

"Indian’s vision in auto industry is supporting the local market not exporting cars to foreign markets. Indian’s are trying to do their bests for domestic market and enter the foreign markets which don’t have hard rules and that is exactly opposite Chinese vision.” Farbod Zaveh, an expert of auto industry told Khodrocar reporter.

"Indian are far behind Chinese in technical and designing sections. Chinese improved faster than other companies and in the next 10 year they will pass Koreans in this industry.” he added.

"Iranian opinion is negative about Chinese cars but right now there are some good brands which have good quality. This country is producing 25 million cars annually which is one fourth of the whole world and that is a competitive market.” Zaveh said.

"Indians are not a replacement. Tata Motors own Jaguar – Land rover and its main market is USA and Marouti has transactions in USA market but the limitation for entrance of a foreign auto maker is not the market but it’s because of limitations in dollar transactions from America. This is containing Indian and China too.” He continued.

"Sanctions of auto industry haven’t started yet. The system should be ready for these sanctions but they are struggling with side problems. Replacing Chinese with Indian companies is just like a joke right now.” He added.

It is obvious that problems of auto industry haven’t started yet because new sanctions are not beginning. The new sanctions will bring Iran’s auto industry in new level but finally the clear thing is Indian companies won’t be solution for facing sanctions.
