Nissan as a partner of Pars Khodro is going to produce one of its cars in Pars Khodro production line after several months of negotiations.
Khodrocar – good memory of producing the Nissan Maxima which was a special edition of Iran’s market is still in the head of people and streets of our country. After Maxima, Nissan Tiena came through Pars Khodro and most of people had positive feelings about the Nissan presence in Iran’s market, but suddenly sanctions got worse and harder and it pushed this Japanese brand to stop production in Iran.
After the JCPOA signing and while French were preparing to enter Iran’s market, presence of Asian east countries got bolder. Automakers like Hyundai, Kia and Nissan which had a good market in Iran. Mehdi Jamali. CEO of SAIPA at the time announced that they are negotiating with Nissan and Kia. These talks didn’t have any clear result for SAIPA.
During these negotiations, Nissan found Jahan Novin Aria co. and started the importation. However, SAIPA had a conflict with the importer company but their production had a great feedback. Nissan’s productions had a good share of the iran’s market.
Mehdi Jamali request of the ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade to be clear about this topic. However, news shows that Nissan has plan to come back to Iran through Pars Khodro production line.
