The next-generation Toyota Corolla has been confirmed for reveal at the Geneva motor show on March 6, sharing the stage with a preview of the upcoming Supra sports car.
Khodrocar - Shown in a single shadowy teaser (above), the new Corolla hatchback – known as the Auris in Europe – appears to have inherited some of the more angular elements of the C-HR crossover, namely the headlight and tail-light signatures.

The show car is finished in bronze with a contrasting black roof, hinting at a diverse colour range allowing buyers to personalise their vehicle more freely.

In its accompanying press release, Toyota says the new Corolla will "reinforce [its] emphasis on developing cars that feature a more dynamic exterior design”.

Key changes for the new generation of Australia’s favourite passenger car should include the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform – already seen in the C-HR, Camry and Prius – which should help form the basis of a more engaging drive experience, a host of new driver assistance technologies, and a revised range of powertrains.

We’re also betting the new Corolla will feature either the new Linux-based infotainment system from the new-generation Camry, or alternatively, the even newer unit that debuted in the latest US-market Avalon sedan with Apple CarPlay compatibility – a feature sorely absent from the current Toyota line-up in Australia at this point in time.
