Take the Stinger GT for a spin.
Khodrocar - If you’ve perused any automotive press over the last half of last year, you’ve probably seen praise bestowed on the Kia Stinger GT – a sport sedan from Korea with Germany in its sights. If you want to get behind the wheel of one without a salesperson talking your ear off about your financing options, Kia is giving curious customers the change to not only drive a Stinger GT, but also its various German rivals like the Audi A5, BMW 640i Gran Coupe, and Porsche Panamera.

Kia is launching the Stinger Experience tour, bringing the Stinger and its competitors to Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C. The experience is performance-oriented, giving enthusiastic customers the change to test the Stinger and its competitors through various dynamic exercises that include a zero-to-60-mph acceleration run, cornering tests, and a slalom course. There will be no direct sales opportunities at the Stinger Experiences. Instead, on-site specialists will direct interested customers to a dealership.

"With a faster top-speed and 0-60 time than a six-cylinder Porsche Panamera, the Stinger GT is like nothing anyone has ever seen from Kia before and must be driven to be fully appreciated and understood,” said Saad Chehab, vice president, marketing communications, Kia Motors America. "The Stinger Experience gives people an opportunity to see and feel for themselves just how far Kia has come, and that the Stinger can hold its head high against some of the best that Germany has to offer.”

The Stinger is available in two flavors. There’s a base offering with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four making 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Stinger GT has a 3.3-liter biturbo V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft under the hood. The GT starts at $38,350, not including the $900 destination charge, while the fully-loaded GT2 with the optional all-wheel drive is $52,100.

Even if you’re not into the market to buy a Stinger GT or a new car in general, this could be an excellent opportunity to get behind the wheel of some great sedans.
