It has been several years that Haval “H6” is the bestselling SUV in China, the world’s largest car market and next year “Bahman Motor” will start producing this vehicle in Iran.
Khodrocar - GWM is the biggest SUV manufacturer in china. As a corporation with 70,000 employees and about 50 subsidiaries, GWM has four vehicle production bases and marketing 3 brands across the globe, Haval, Great Wall and Wey.

Haval On the Scale of Numbers

"H6” is the flagship of Haval brand. With a powerful engine, this car is larger than "H2” and smaller than "H9”. That is why this car has the largest share of sales in the SUV segments in China.

Compared to the first month of 2017, this year, Haval produced 13 thousand cars more than last year. In 2017, Haval sold nearly 580 thousand of "H6” cars. This sales figure is only for one model and this is a record in global scale.

Haval brand was first established in 2006. In the first month of 2017, Haval sold over 81,000 vehicles and "H6” includes 61 thousand of this share.

The procedure and rate of sales of Hawal brand sales in the Chinese market, which is the largest automotive market in the world is so fast that in the first year of its activity, this company produce 29 thousand vehicles and in the year 2016 this number reached 938 thousand units and 580 thousand of them belongs to "H6” model.

Haval is a subsidiary of China's largest automaker.

Haval’s Birth Place

The production base as you are in now is the XUSHI manufacturing base, with a total landscape of 13 square kilometers.  This base includes vehicle plants, logistic center for stamping parts, comprehensive testing ground, spare parts center and living area.  The base is planned to be completed into 4 phases, with annual production capacity of 1 million vehicle upon completing.

The size of stamping workshop is 24,000 ㎡, with a total investment of 570 million RMB.  Four fully automated press line running at a totally sealed production model to ensure quality, reduce noise and to secure staff safety.  Press line A is using 5 stage pressing to ensure output quality stability.  18 pressers are equipped within this workshop, max press power is 2,400 ton and minimum press power 800 ton.  Takt time of this workshop is 12 parts per minutes.

The production line is able to change mold and gripper within 4 minutes just by a single button press.  Production line at both side of this pass are using automated packaging system to reduce staff work load and increase productivity.

The welding workshop is 100% automated workshop, with a size of 65,000 ㎡.  One BIW production line capable of producing 5 different body types.  Overall 526 ABB welding robots are installed to carry out welding and moving works, automatic transfer through overhead EMS system.  Takt time of this workshop is 51 s, and with annual capability to produce 250,000 vehicle bodies.


To ensure the consistency of the vehicle production, electronic tools and advanced Bosch battery tools are widely used in this workshop, instead of the air tools and torque wrench, to avoid paint scratches in the process.

This company believes that "Life of enterprise depend on product quality”; quality card, quality file, security and fire-hazard map are set based on working station to accumulate knowledge and improve skills.

There are four production lines in the assembly workshop and we are entering and going to see the second and third one; assembly lines are used for installing front/rear windscreen, battery, tires include spare tire, bumpers, etc.

Phase 2 and 3

The interior/exterior inspection line are also located within our workshop, our staff will have to check if all the interior/exterior trims are up to the designed quality standards before the vehicle is moved to the next process.  The inspection line are moving with conveyor to enable staff to keep up with vehicles without moving their legs; light of the environments is also optimized to help protection of staff eyes.

After checking the interior and exterior quality, vehicle will also have to conduct series of functional test, this assembly workshop equips the most advanced vehicle test equipment, on our left side the wheel positioning system uses the 3D laser to measure and inspect wheels, this device is not only working at an excellent efficiency but also to comply with the strict international test standards.
The three floor white building on our left side is the paint workshop, as we mention before it is a totally sealed workshop and dust free, so we could only take a look from here.

Coating workshop covers an area of 24000 square meters, it’s divided into three layers. The first floor is a manual work area, the second is high clean area, the third is drying equipment and air condition area.

By following the concept of green, efficient and intelligent, to enable the paint workshop to become environmental protection, energy conservation and emissions reduction, quality improvement and social technology.

Haval In Iran
Many efforts have been made to bring this brand to Iran and finally Bahman Motor succeeded. Bahman Motor in known for producing the products of well-known brands in Iran, including Mitsubishi and Mazda and also will start producing "H2”, "H6” and "H9” in the year 2018.
