Each year, the vehicle price increment starts two months before the new year, but this year was different. This year price increments started from four month before the Iranian new year.
Khodrocar - By approaching to the last month of the year 1396, the car market showed its first reaction, and from the beginning of February, prices of some vehicles started to rise which the National Competition Council must control this issue.
Somehow, some car dealers believe that reduction of the supply of some cars models caused their price increment. Now the National Competition Council should take the control the price increment of the vehicles under 500 IRRs, but actually, nothing happened indeed.
Meanwhile, some market activists believe that if the market is not controlled, it will slow down sales, and it will be very hard to control the price increments in the early months of the new year. So, what are the solutions to control this situation?
Alireza Pourhasani, a market activist, told Khodrocar regarding the issue: "Vehicle price increment is not expected until the end of the year. Even if the companies try to increase the prices, they will face a serious sale decline.”
He believes: "In the imported car market, a slight increase in prices has been the side effects of an increase in the exchange rate, while some of these increments was the effects of an asset bubble. It is expected that the price stability will decrease some of imported vehicles’ prices.”
The market activist stated about foresight of next year’s car market: "If the price of cars is not adjusted, surely next spring sales decline is one of the biggest problems for companies.”
Pourhasani explained about the role of business brokers in the increase of vehicle prices: "Brokers had the least impact on the price increase, because there were important factors like reduction of vehicle supply and exchange rate fluctuations. In addition, companies pricing has a major impact on car market.”
