4G connectivity coming to Mini range
Khodrocar - Mini will add a 4G SIM to the options list across its range, opening the door for a wider range of connected services.

The new hardware, working in tandem with a refreshed Mini Connected app, opens the door for ‘time-to-leave warnings’, remote door (un)locking, and information about fuel levels – or charge times for electrified vehicles – on an owner’s smartphone.

Along with the app-connected assistance features, Minis sold from March 2018 will be available with a concierge service. Drivers can call 24/7 and ask for address data or points-of-interest along a given route.

Live traffic updates using Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) are also part of the updates, though you’ll likely pay more for the functionality. Stay tuned on that one.

These online services will be offered in three packages: Connected Media, Connected Navigation and Connected Navigation Plus. The capability is being expanded to 43 countries in March, including Australia.
